What do you think his power was before he fused with Nail? The show never explicitly stated it as far as I know, but I think it was around 150,000 | ||||||||||

I think anywhere from 10,000 to 60,000 is fine, but I've seen people put him as high as 300k. | ||||||||||

↑ anywhere from 42 000 * 1.21 = 50 820 to 530 000 / 2 = 215 000 → 215 000 / 1.4641 ~ 150 000 [50 000, 150 000] is fine with me. |

Did he have more time to train with King Kai? I ask this because when you look at his power gain which was something like [2000, 3000?] to [50,000, 150,000] it's a lot more impressive than Goku's power leap from 420 to over 8,000

probably because he could train better. Goku had to get used to gravity, before effectively training. I'd wonder if Piccolo had that problem...

Piccolo is a hell of a good trainer, right next to Goku and Vegeta, so you can assume he got a huge gain there. I'm still not sure since I haven't read this saga recently to go over the facts, but I remember putting him around 60,000 ~ 70,000 just because it makes it easier to calculate with the Nail fusion and whatnot. Ex. [60,000 + 42,000] x 10 = 1,020,000 All I remember is him being shocked at how powerfull Freeza was though. |

 but he was hella stronger than Goku (At Kaio's). Goku had to master gravity, get stronger than Kaio, and then learn new techniques, etc. Piccolo apparently just need to learn how to power up immensely. I'd guess that:

This will forever remain a mystery, we can only guess. I'd bet he was around 50-60k though, maybe higher. Nail's statements seem like he was somewhat awed by Piccolo's power. | ||||||||||

I have him at anywhere between 18.000 and 100.000, its a long gap though. Piccolo knew that Frieza was stronger that Saiyan Saga Vegeta, so if he was confident he could stand against him he should be at least stronger than Vegeta. |

I didn't realize how short he was there. Never connected the dots with Goku's 5 days of training/speaking with King Kai. Considering that, I'd definitely put him below Nail's 42,000. Heck, 20,000 is a lot. |

^  ...Nail told Piccolo that even with the latter's impressive strength, he'd still be no match for Frieza. 42000 = Nail < Piccolo. Don't doubt Piccolo just because Goku didn't show as much improvement. |
